Products in the Product Line
Uvasorb® 20H/G
INCI: Benzophenone-1
UVASORB® 2OH/G is an ultraviolet absorber, belonging to the class of compounds known as benzophenone derivatives. Its absorption curve ranges from 270 to 400 nm with two maxima of absorbance at 291 and 330 nm. UVASORB® 2OH/G can be employed to improve light stability of cosmetic products such as alcoholic fragrances, gels, colors, nail enamels, and liquid detergents.
Uvasorb® HEB
INCI: Diethylhexyl Butamido Triazone
UVASORB® HEB is an effective UV-B sunscreen very soluble in cosmetic oils. Due to its high specific extinction and its excellent solubility is much more efficient than currently available UV filters. For example, a sun protection O/W emulsion containing 2% of UVASORB® HEB shows a SPF of 4 against a SPF of 2.5 obtained with an equal amount of Octyl Methoxycinnamate.
Uvasorb® MET
INCI: Benzophenone-3
UVASORB® MET is a safe and effective oil-soluble UV-filter with a broad-spectrum absorbance ranging between 270 and 350 nm. It has excellent photochemical and heat stability. It is used in formulating air fresheners to protect colours and fragrances. It is frequently used in combination with other UV-filters. UVASORB®MET has an excellent solubility in aromatic solvents and in some polar solvents. It is slightly soluble in alcohols whereas it is practically insoluble in water. UVASORB® MET is an absorber of ultraviolet light, belonging to the class of compounds known as benzophenone derivatives; its absorption spectrum ranges from 270 to 380 nm with two maxima of absorbance at 288 and 327 nm. UVASORB® MET is thermally stable and is compatible with a broad range of binders, normally used in coating formulations
Uvasorb® S5
INCI: Benzophenone-4
UVASORB® S5 is a safe and effective water-soluble sunscreen with a broad-spectrum absorbance between 270 and 350 nm. Because of its excellent water solubility, UVASORB® S5 is particularly suitable for O/W sun creams and sun gels. UVASORB® S5 can also be used as a light stabilizer for water based products such as styling gels, shampoos, shower-gels and alcoholic fragrances. It is frequently used in combination with oil-soluble UV-filters in order to boost sun screening properties especially in O/W emulsions.
