The years have seemed to fly right by. So it’s time, as they say in the Lone Star State, for us to throw our hat over the windmill and whoop it up a bit as we celebrate 15 years of having a Coast Southwest location in Texas.
“Grand Prairie is the first branch we opened outside of California,” explained our president, Joseph C. Cimo, when we celebrated our 10th anniversary there. Our Texas operations have been a key center of growth and exceptional customer service.
Joe said, “Coast Southwest has grown from a small operation to a dynamic, regional distribution hub that includes senior industry leaders who work directly with customers to develop and deliver unique ingredient concepts. Our growth in Texas has been phenomenal and plans are underway for an even more exciting future.”
As part of that plan, we acquired a 30,000 square foot facility in Arlington, directly between Dallas and Fort Worth, to handle the increasing demand for our products and services.
Not only does it house local customer service, a regional sales office, and warehouse, it contains an innovation/R&D center for development and application of leading-edge personal care ingredient technology. Plus, it’s at the very crossroad of rail, air, and highway transportation for the region, allowing us to quickly fulfill customer needs.
Building success through partnership and innovation
As is true across all of Coast Southwest, our personal care industry team in Texas believes strongly in being a responsive and proactive partner for our customers. They apply expert knowledge of cosmetic science, specialty raw materials, and consumer market trends to help customers create new products and improve existing formulas, especially in the categories of anti-aging, sun care, and color.
One of the unique ways we hone our expertise? In the pictures below, you’ll see our sales and customer service staff in Texas getting a hands-on experience of product formulation, where engaged in some friendly competition to develop original, feasible formulas, which gave them useful insights into how to better serve customer needs.
